Coaching process
During the process of coaching, the greatest emphasis is put on action. The first step is to find out about client’s values and goals, so as to be able to define the purpose of the process. Then, backed by the coach, the client establishes an action plan using the SMART and the GROW models. During further meetings, the focus is put on progress discussion and results analysis. Here, even if the client does yet perceive his actions as successful, he still receives feedback from the coach due to the “no failure – only feedback - rule”, derived from NLP (Neuro-linguistic programming). The coach thus never judges, gives advice, expresses his/her opinion or teaches.
